A posthumous collection of tales and illustrations from Satoshi Kako, one of Japan’s most beloved and prolific modern children’s authors. He left some 240 tales, organised into categories: animals, Japan, daily life. In this, the second of three books on the everyday lives of children, young readers will 18 stories – often tackling social issues of the time – covering themes from classroom bullying, a strange sensation felt on a homeward-bound train, and even a tale in which the characters are various experimental chemistry tools.
