03 Zebras
by Ryo Kisaka
supervised by Koichi Murata
The third book in a series focused on the baby animals young Japanese children learn about at school: this time, zebra colts who can stand and walk from the moment they are born. The life of each animal, from birth through to becoming independent adults, is explored through photography and illustrations, as well as carefully crafted text by renowned children’s poet Ryo Kisaka. The series is intended to enable children to understand the differences between the upbringings and growth of the animals featured.
