The fifth book in a series focused on the baby animals young Japanese children learn about at school: this time, polar bear cubs who must make their way to the coast while learning how to hunt. The life of each animal, from birth through to becoming independent adults, is explored through photography and illustrations, as well as carefully crafted text by renowned children’s poet Ryo Kisaka. The series is intended to enable children to understand the differences between the animals featured.
