Kicking off with the king of the jungle, this series takes a closer look at some of the baby animals Japanese children learn about in their first years of school. The life of each animal, from birth through to becoming independent adults, is explored through photography and illustrations, as well as carefully crafted text by renowned children’s poet Ryo Kisaka. The series is intended to enable children to understand the differences between the upbringings and growth of the animals featured.
