Nana moved to the United States from Japan when she was 13 and spent her high school years playing in a band. After deciding to move back to Japan for university, Nana and her friends planned a graduation trip but it was cancelled. 18 months later, Nana is once again America-bound so they can finally take that trip. This is the second of Rui Kodemari’s YA novels to focus on present-day life in the States, after the award-winning “On a Bright Summer Morning“.
