When her mother is hospitalised, Toko is sent to live with her grandparents, who run a grocery store in a small seaside town. Here, Toko meets Pan, a young boy with autism who is talented at painting but only paints the same sloping road along the seaside, over and over. As the two become close, they spend the summer trying to find out where they belong in the world. A charming tale of loneliness, discovery, and growth.
