Ricky the squirrel falls ill and has to spend a long time in hospital. When he at last returns to home and school, he can’t run around like he used to as his body is still weak. But there’s plenty that he can do, like be scorer for the badminton games. After a while, Ricky feels much stronger – but can he find the courage to try and climb a tree? This relatable and gently-paced tale was selected as a Recommended Read 2022 by the School Library Association Award.
