Invitation to the Summer Festival of Bon

Every summer, Natchan goes to visit her granny and grandpa and take part in the Bon festival, to pay her respects to her ancestors. Natchan is told three mysterious stories, of ghosts and river goblins, and ends up having her very own mysterious encounter too. The book ends with a moving tribute to the author’s uncle, who died in the Second World War.
