20 Philippines – Neri, from the Town of Rice Terraces

The Philippines is a collection of islands, filled with many different ethnic groups. Neri is an eight year old boy from one of those groups, the Ifugao, who lives in the northern part of Luzon Island. The Banaue rice terraces form the backdrop to his school, his play, his family life. This beautiful meditation on the scenery of a childhood in the Philippines is the latest in this global series.
