09 Bangladesh – ?Cheeky Chappy Ashif and his Blue Bicycle

Adorable Ashif lives across the river from Dakka, the sprawling capital of Bangladesh. His most treasured possession is his blue bicycle, which he rides around the village with pride. When he’s not hard at play, he’s hard at work in school, where he learns maths (which he loves) and Bengali (which he hates). Ashif’s daily life is introduced here with images that capture the colour and bustle of modern-day Bangladesh.
