Komako Sakai

Born in Hyogo. After graduating from Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music, Sakai worked at a kimono textile design company. She is currently one of the most popular illustrator authors in Japan. Her sense of colour and writing touch are highly rated in various media and she is highly respected for her ability to accurately draw little children. Her illustrations are used in a variety of different areas, from corporate advertising and movie billboards to CD jackets and book illustration.
