Koji Ishikawa

A picture book author born in 1963 in Chiba Prefecture. He graduated from the Department of Visual Communication Design at Musashino Art University. He won the Grand Prix at the Kodansha Picture Book Grand Prize and was selected for the Bologna International Picture Book Exhibition. His book “Masks“ won the first Sekibunkan Group Picture Book Award. “The Picture Book of Eggs“ received the Japan Book Publishers Association’s Chairman’s Award at the Book Design and Binding Competition. “Big Book: Mask 3” has won the Viva Karasu Award at the 33rd Kenbuchi Picture Book Village Grand Prize. His other major works include “Masks” series (1-4), “Wizard”, “Hide and Seek with Numbers”, “Hide and Seek with Animals”, “Hide and Seek with Vehicles”, “Hello Baby”, “The Journey of Little Ship”, “Rice balls from Mr Panda”, “The Picture Book of Eggs”, “Good Morning Picture Book”, “Working Vehicles Picture Book”, “The Picture Book of Flowers”, and “Don-Don-Pa”. His works have been translated and published in many countries, including France, China, Korea, Taiwan, Vietnam, and Russia.
