Photographer Miyazaki was shocked to discover that moon bears, which used to be hardly ever seen, have begun appearing in human settlements without fear, and no longer fear the noise of huge lorries. Miyazaki decided to record the ecology of moon bears to alert humans to changes in nature caused by our behaviour.
