The Rain Kappa
by Saori Murakami
A rainy day. Mummy needs to go out. Little Nao answers the door to her babysitter – a funny-looking creature, green head-to-toe, called a Kappa. “Time for a picnic”, the Kappa tells her. “But it’s raining” replies the astounded Nao. “That’s exactly why it’s time for a picnic”, says the Kappa and leads Nao on a watery journey of adventure and discovery about the beauty of the rain. The beautifully detailed images in this debut publication bring Murakami’s fantastical story to life.
