The Mountain, the Woolly Jumper, and Me

A charming picture book inspired by the author’s memories of his childhood, growing up in a tiny, three-home village in the mountains of Chichibu. As the family works hard – cultivating the fields, raising livestock, making homemade tea – over the year, the little boy waits patiently but excitedly for the day when he will receive a woolly jumper made from the wool shorn from their sheep. This is a celebration of life lived in harmony with nature and the seasons.
