The Cat’s Bon Dance

There’s a small secluded island that’s home only to cats and every summer, on a full moon, they hold a special festival. Rich and dynamic illustrations capture the heat of summer and the movements and characters of the spiky, frisky, and playful island cats. Onomatopoeia-rich language and warm cat chit-chat are woven through the pictures to create a wonderfully engaging book that draws upon a long tradition of cat illustration in Japan.
