As Taciturn Rabbit star-gazes with mole, he has a rather wonderful idea – to plant an azuki bean. Talkative Rabbit helps, too, but even she doesn’t know what they will eventually make with the beans. In another story, “The Rabbit Town over the Mountain”, the friends take a trip to take in the sights at the Rabbit Festival and do some shopping at the Rabbit Fair. This is the third instalment in Naoko Awa’s masterful series of woodland fairytales.
