Chiaki Ukita, a second year junior high school student, sees an unusual looking girl, with long blue hair, shoplifting. This leads him to discover his latent telepathic powers. This first experience with mind control causes him to pass out, and when he awakes his home and parents are gone – and they’re not the only ones. Now living in emergency group accommodation for children who’ve lost their families, Chiaki works with his sister, a fifth year elementary school student, and their new friend Osamu to discover why families are disappearing and how the girl with the long blue hair is connected.
