Grandpa is my dad’s dad and lives alone in a nearby apartment. With mum and dad at work, I go to Grandpa’s after school. After washing my hands and gargling water, he serves me barley tea and snacks. Then, Grandpa shares all sorts of stories.

This collection of six humorous short stories from Jun Okada’s “Grandpa and Me” series includes tales of Grandpa being exiled for a tremendous sneeze, a friend’s inventive excuses for being late, and how Grandpa once helped a king during his sales job at a castle.
