A gentle and contemplative picture book told through the eyes of a girl who quietly watches the sky. She gazes up at a cloud drifting across the vast expanse — on sunny days, rainy days, at dusk, and even through stormy nights – wondering: What might the cloud be thinking? Is it having fun? Could we become friends someday? This simple yet poetic monologue invites readers to see the sky in a new light, prompting subtle reflection on the world above us.
Created by Mamiko Shiotani, who received an Excellence Award at the 15th Pinpoint Picture Book Competition in 2014, and was later awarded a Golden Plaque at the 2021 Biennial of Illustration Bratislava for “The Story of an Egg” (Bronze Publishing).
