A stunning collection of photographs capturing the endangered lives and delicate ecology of three types of sea turtles living the seas around Okinawa: loggerheads, greens, and hawksbills, each of which is listed on the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) Red List. The threats these turtles face – global warming, food depletion, and a decline in male turtles (turtle sex is determined by egg temperature) – are carefully set out alongside beautiful and thought-provoking images of these graceful and timeless creatures.
