35 Russia – Semyon and the Northern Summer

Semyon lives in Vladivostok, a port city in the very east of Russia, where in between his studies he is the goal keeper in the top team in town. During the summer, he spends most of the vacation in his family’s dacha (holiday home), where he swims and hunts and enjoys the sun before the long, cold winter descends. Semyon’s everyday is introduced through beautiful photography, capturing the routines and rituals that are part of the lives of children in Russia.
